Trouble... with a capital M
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote to you about Senator McCain's bill and how it might threaten our access to vitamins and supplements.
At the time, McCain seemed to be backing down. But I knew that was too good to be true.
Apparently, Senator McCain got a deluge of angry letters, emails and calls. Never one to retreat, McCain realized he needed a new strategy. And that new strategy could make it even harder for you and me to get our hands on the products we rely on to stay healthy.
Eight ball, corner pocket
While he did withdraw his support for the "McCain Bill," the Senator seems to still be on the warpath against our supplements.
Smart man that he is, McCain knew any new bill focused on supplements would continue to draw public ire (and threaten his chances for re-election), so he took four of the key provisions from his original bill and snuck them into the FDA Food Safety Modernization Bill.
I mean, who doesn't want safer food???
That's why I'm worried this bill will sail through.
And one of McCain's pet ideas could also mean that any ingredient not occurring naturally in the food supply would have to be approved as a "new dietary ingredient (NDI)" before it could be sold. As always, that sounds like a good idea on the surface but wait 'til you see what that really means.
The secret dangers of...grape skins?
You see, food extracts aren't considered "in the food supply" so items like resveratrol or ECGC or CoQ10 could literally be pulled off the market without warning and forced to go through lengthy and expensive approval processes before we would be allowed to take them again.
..for our own good, of course.
Now maybe Senator McCain isn't leading an evil plot to get CoQ10 off the market, but he would be giving the FDA the power to do just that.
And those two words together are pretty scary: "FDA" and "power."
It doesn't seem like this will blow up in McCain's face the way the DSSA bill did so I wouldn't count on him backing down this time.
That means we need to be ready. So stay tuned and I'll keep you posted and let you know what we need to do to save our supplements.

Hi--After reading your article about Senator McCains attempt--to stop the use of supplemnets. I saw an add on TV. LOVAZA--The new fish oil supplement, by prescription only. Have you seen it??? It is suppose to be more pure then the health store products. What a laugh, a drug company with a more pure product

If we are being poisoned left and right by Big- Pharma and with the blessing of our government, what ever happened for the people by the people, let us decide which one to take if either conventional or not, it is our choice and no one in power not even the president should take that right away from us, after all if people do not believe that a supplement will work they will stop buying, or maybe Big- Pharma and their cronies are afraid that in actuality supplements do work better, therefore they are trying to remove such from the market, as for this senator let him play his politics in a communist country he will be at home there, trying to be manipulative in that manner indeed, shameful senator. Well Folks - I voted for McCain/Palin last election, but since this
shenanigan with DSSA to gut DSHEA which has managed to keep the FDA's grubby little hands off our supplements, minerals, vitamins and herbals since l994 and maintain our access to effective levels of them, I am wondering if our federal
government isn't riddled with more Bilderberg plants than we realize. If McCain isn't another plant along with Obama, Reid, Pelosi and God only knows who else, then he must have had a bad attack of sudden Alzheimer's disease and lost his mind
altogether.
Makes you wonder if having McCain introduce & sponsor DSSA
wasn't a last ditch effort to associate Palin with him to make her an undesirable candidate for 2012, doesn't it? If so, that tells us that Palin isn't one of them who has been trained & brainwashed to plant in our government to destroy it from within.

Unfortunately the FDA isn't the only federal bureau we need to look askance at - How about the CDC and their being so content with the addition of monosodium glutamate to the vaccines as a preservative, but still leaving in the mercury derivative preservative, which is also toxic to our bodies. They are also planning to make it mandatory to give both our young girls and young men Gardasil to prevent human papilloma virus, while India has gotten smart and no longer will let theirs be given gardasil. Yet we are told that we have
the best medical care in the world.
Has anyone noticed that all these liberals are clinging tightly to their own wealth (Pelosi is reportedly having a ball wining/dining and flying friends and family around on a military jet for her personal use @ taxpayer's expense) while they are working so hard at distributing the life savings of the lower plebians? For those who haven't looked beyond what used to be our news media, go to other sites where you can find the background (WND.com is a good one) of his 40? czars (which are unconstitutional), go look at their backgrounds. The homosexual that Obama himself called an outstanding social leader and his homosexual appointee to keep schools safe says he greatly admires him. This "outstanding social leader"
had the opinion "that man/boy love" did no harm to the child.
Personally I could care less about the sexual orientation of anyone I am not sexually involved with, as long as they stick to willing adults. But when they become pedophiles, that is my (and should be everyone else's) concern to put a stop to
any pedophile behavior, whether committed by a heterosexual, homosexual or a bisexual. Sexually exploiting
a child is criminal behavior. Genocide is also criminal behavior
and most of his appointees seem to have had the same training/brainwashing as some already mentioned since they have been known to advocate putting sterility drugs in the drinking water, harvest organs from the physically or mentally impaired with or without permission, voluntary or forced abortions and other means to reduce the population.
If anyone has any better opinion of what is going on in McCain's brain now, please share with the rest of us. Ditto on what is going on and who is pulling the strings on our Washington, DC representatives - I don't think many of us have any delusions of still having "a government of the people and for the people" anymore or for much longer with what we have representing us in Washington, DC. I truly believe their intent is exactly what one of them was quoted as saying: that they consider our Constitution as just another piece of paper which they will have to circumvent in order to do what the left wants done". Somehow we have to get the message to those who would circumvent our Constitution that this is the same as planning the overthrow of our government and this is still called treason. The Constitution was written to protect "we the people" from the left who would destroy us.

Doesn't anyone realize that we are dealing with a zero population issue here ? Pay attention ,adding Flouride , Chlorine , pharmacuticals to to our drinking water etc . Wake up people .
